Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical or any equivalent Health & Safety educational qualification
NEBOSH or any equivalent Safety professional certification
More than 7 years of experience in HSE roles in any manufacturing industry
Able to communicate in Hindi & English fluently and prepare necessary reports/documents
Awareness of local regulatory/legal requirements
Awareness of ISO 45001 & 14001 & experience in handling audit documentation and procedure is an added advantage
Physically fit, energetic and able to spend full time on the shop floor
Key Responsibility
Effective vigilance on all work activities in the factory and identify any unsafe conditions or unsafe behaviour
Work closely with each line supervisors or in-charges to avoid and rectify unsafe conditions and behaviors
Timely escalation and reporting of any unsafe behaviors and conditions to the officer
Work closely with all line supervisors or in-charges for compliance to safe operating procedures of the machinery
Daily workplace inspections shall be carried out for all Health & Safety aspects like – Machine safety, PPE usage, Chemical storage and handling, Fire protection system, Emergency evacuation needs, Safe electrical installations, Hand tools usage, Forklifts, Lifting tackles etc.
Carry out daily Health & Safety awareness talks and trainings for shop floor employees
Continuous monitoring on effective PPE usage and ensure sustenance
Monitoring on Height works and Hot works in the factory and ensure necessary precautions are being followed by employees
Weekly & Monthly inspections on fire protection system’s equipment and Emergency preparedness needs as per the checklists and maintain the records
Periodic inspection and third-party certification of Scaffoldings, Full body harnesses, pressure vessels, lifting tools & tackles etc.
Carryout emergency mock drills and ensure all requirements are being maintained
Prepare and submit weekly & Monthly HSE reports to the reporting Manager
Monitoring, tracking and executing disposal of hazardous wastes
